To the future Bride & Groom

Thank you for your interest. I well realise the importance of your wedding day. It could be the most important day of your lives and one which you will be looking back on for years to come.

As a professional photographer my technique is based on reportage style of photography. As an approach, I find this is naturally more suited to the actual event of marriage ceremony, where the special day is recorded not only according to strict tradition and expectation, but also according to the spontaneous turns and unexpected surprises, which really make up all the memories you will want to keep.

My work is emphasised by a relaxed relationship with the bride and groom. This allows for more freedom of expression between the couple and is always the most conducive to creative and intimate pictures. I love to see that happen, and I work hard to get it. Ultimately, it is the reward for my share in the responsibility of your special day.

Most modern weddings will require a mixture of formal and informal shots, as well as a mixture of black & white and colour photographs, unless the client expresses a preference. I will establish the wishes and preferences of relevant parties in earlier meetings to make sure the emphasis is leaning the right way! As a part of my preperation, I will try to visit the location of the venue well before the date, to determine the mood and atmosphere it will impart.

I do not place any limitation on my attendance and will gladly pick up the 'story' from the preperation of the bride to the departure of the newly weds, or until I feel I have covered the wedding within your requirements. It is my wish to make the most of the opportunities as they progress.

I am a qualified photographer and a member of the Guild of Wedding Photographers, UK and Master Photographers Association. My work has appeared in You and Your Wedding magazine, Vogue, Wedding Venues & Services, The British Journal of Photography and The Guardian.
