and my passion is very much for people - I use the camera to tell
a story… but within those broad parameters – my dedication
and respect has always been for the willing subjects before my
lens”. Ania Grom-Yoncali
Ania was born in Poland in 1971. She moved to the UK in 1993 and
obtained her photographic qualifications at Westminster –
Kingsway College in 1999. Since then she has devoted herself to
professional photography and has been published on many occasions.
She has also had numerous successful exhibitions of her work.
Ania was commissioned to do her first book of photography for
‘Bay Tales’, published in a limited edition in 2005,
following a successful exhibition with the same title for the
Welfare State International in 2004.
Ania was also interviewed on Radio 4’s ‘Woman’s
Hour’ about her work and her images have featured with some
of the following journals, periodicals, magazines and organisations:
